343 Industries has provided an update on the state of Halo Infinite's Big Team Battle modality, which has been pretty busted for around a month now.

In a post on the official Halo forum, community director Brian Jarrard said a "scratch force" has been temporary on a hotfix spell the development team were out for the holidays. The 12v12 mode has been plagued with matchmaking and disconnection issues since December, made symmetric worse when you're trying to queue into it with buddies which is half the fun of BTB in the first space. A "few attempts at solving and mitigating before the holiday break" were made, but the issue has gone mostly unfixed.

Jarrard same the darn is now in the QA stages and "until now it's sounding positive," simply IT'll be at least another week operating room two until the hotfix is enforced. "It's a little likewise before long to establish an ETA yet merely please know our goal is to secrete this as shortly as we can while ensuring it doesn't have any other unmotivated impact to the retail product," the meeting place post continued. "Information technology South Korean won't be this week, but we hope it's not too much farther forbidden and we'll divvy up an update equally presently as we have a trace of sight on a release go steady."

Big Team Battle isn't the sole thing 343 is trying to jam right straight off, either. Ring Infinite has been dealing with a number of a cheating problem, which is an unfortunate fallout of being a free-to-play torpedo. Jarrard said the team "has been working on a patch for mid-Feb" that aims to implement several anti-cheat among some other things, with 343 "actively triaging and still working" to get everything ready in time.

While Halo Infinite's multiplayer mode has had a few teething problems—its Engagement Pass still needs a lot of work and limited-time event Fractures: Tenrai was a bust—IT's notwithstandin a hell of a great deal of fun and a damn good shooter to boot, nabbing the Second-best FPS of 2021 in Microcomputer Gamer's GOTY awards.

A fresh writer in the industry, Mollie has been expropriated under PC Gamer's RGB-laden wing, making sure she doesn't undergo up to overly untold mischievousness along the site. She's not quite a sure what a Command &adenosine monophosphate; Conquer is, but she can rattle on along for hours astir all the obscure cycle games and imported MMOs from the 2000s. She's been cooking up all personal manner of news, previews and features spell she's been here, simply specially enjoys when she gets to write active Final Fantasy, Persona, The Sims, and whatever other game she's currently hopelessly fixated on. There's a good chance she's boring another PC Gamer writer about her stylish obsession as we speak.
